Digitally track and manage large components at quayside storage areas

The KTN-iX competition, in partnership with ORE Catapult, is supporting Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) to identify digital and hardware logistics solutions to improve the tracking, management and optimisation of logistics management of large wind turbine component movements around port facilities.

Challenge description

The challenge is split into:

  • Tracking and monitoring of physical parts, movements and maintenance activity, with the required hardware and software
  • Data management, usage and visualisation, with the required software and interfaces

You are invited to apply to either one or both of the sub-challenges depending on their area of expertise. Solutions to each sub-challenge must be capable of linking seamlessly to the other. So, individual applicants should consider the potential for collaborative approaches.

  • Fully deployable commercially within 1 year.

The winning businesses in this competition will be given the opportunity to pitch to SGRE, and receive support from the KTN and ORE Catapult.
