InnovaTIve care services to deliver QUick rEsponses (TIQUE)

Could you design a system using advanced technology that delivers quick responses to patients with advanced heart failure? The system will help provide integrated care and ease pressure on healthcare sectors.

The EU funded TIQUE project will use innovative technology to provide ongoing care for heart patients at home, preventing crises by monitoring patients continuously and avoiding unnecessary hospitalisations. The service is for patients with advanced heart failure, and co-existing chronic conditions, who are at risk of becoming frail.

A consortium made up of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Spain, the ASL Avellino in Italy, and the Region Vasterbotten in Sweden, intends to launch a tender in June 2022 to purchase the design of a technology-enabled service, flexible enough to adapt to a large variety of healthcare systems which will enable the delivery of TIQUE’s model.

A prior-information notice (PIN) has been published and can be consulted at TED.

TIQUE will follow a pre-commercial procurement model over three phases:

  • solution design
  • prototyping
  • field testing

After each phase, intermediate evaluations will be carried out to progressively select the best of the competing solutions. The total estimated value is €3.5 million.
