What's the open innovation challenge?

NHS Scotland is seeking innovative solutions to provide psychological support. The aim is to increase availability of care at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for children and young people with gastrointestinal symptoms but no underlying medical disease.

Successful applicants will receive 100% funding and have access to advice from NHS Grampian.

Total funds towards this 2-phase competition are £345,000 (inc. VAT). Up to £50,000 (inc. VAT) is allocated to phase 1, and up to £295,000 (inc. VAT), for phase 2.

Project date milestones

Competition opens: 20 July 2020

Briefing event: 4 August 2020

Final date for registration: 9 September 2020

Full submission: 16 September 2020

Decision to applicants: 14 October 2020

Contracts awarded: 21 October 2020

Feedback provided: 21 October 2020
