Right on time

Can you deliver a step change in military logistics capability across the Maritime, Land and Air domains?

What is the open innovation challenge?

Can you identify and mature emerging technologies that can improve cost, performance and efficiency in delivery of Defence Support?

Organisations can apply for a share of £800,000 (inclusive of VAT) to identify, develop, and demonstrate innovations that have the potential to deliver a step change in military logistics capability across the Maritime, Land and Air domains.

The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) is running this competition on behalf of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl). The focus is on innovative autonomy and automation (including automation for additive manufacturing) for future Deployed Military Logistics Hubs.

Collaborations between organisations for this competition are encouraged.

How much is the award?

The upper-limit for this competition is £800,000, proposals will be rejected if the financial cost exceeds this capped level.

It is most likely that a larger number of lower-value proposals (for example £40k to £80k ex. VAT) will be funded than a small number of higher-value proposals.

If you are awarded a contract, you will be required to showcase your innovation at a demonstration event to be held in the UK during September 2021.

Timeline

This competition will close at 12pm (noon), 25 March 2021.
